I had the opportunity to work with 2K and Hangar 13 to develop a visual identity for the Mafia The Old Country announce campaign. I was asked to create a captivating style that would elevate and compliment the cinematic tone of the game. We explored a few different concepts including using rose petals for a more romantic theme but ultimately decided burning embers better captured the mood of Mafia The Old Country.

WELCOME, ENZO
This idea of embers stemmed from an important scene in-game known as the initiation. In it, a prayer card is burned as part of a ritual to welcome the protagonist, Enzo, into the crime family. Hangar 13 provided the art for the prayer card, which I then cut up and recreated a burn effect on the individual pieces. This was the main element used in the logo reveals.
